Wedge Inc is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 2022 by Jeremiah Long and Michael Wasserfuhr.
Our mission is to provide education on AI and emerging technologies to underrepresented groups, with a focus on creativity and the arts. We believe that by equipping individuals with these skills, we can help them start their own small businesses, pursue careers in emerging fields, and ultimately contribute to the growth and development of the local Atlanta community. In our relatively short period of existence we have already been able to positively impact our community including partnerships with Georgia Tech, Emory University, Atlanta Interdisciplinary Artificial Intelligence Network, Fulton County Public Arts, NBAF, and Atlanta Public Schools.
In this litepaper, we'll provide an overview of Wedge's programs and services, as well as our plans for supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and measuring impact locally. We discuss our team, our research, and future plans for scaling our programs and building partnerships with other organizations in the Atlanta area.

Ai & Emerging tech education programs
Wedge has created and managed more than 26 workshops, 8 partner programs, 3 conferences, and 14 community programs in the last 2 years. Our programs have engaged over 1,200 attendees to date.
Educational development

Sustainability
Sustainability and Growth
At Wedge, we are dedicated to providing access to emerging technologies for traditionally underrepresented groups in Atlanta. To sustainably fund our programs, we utilize a variety of revenue streams in addition to donations.
- Conferences and workshops: We organize conferences and workshops throughout Atlanta, where we bring together experts in the field to provide attendees with practical, hands-on experience with AI and emerging technologies. These events are priced to cover the cost of production or free to attend via grant support.
- Virtual events: We also host virtual events, both paid and free, that target different groups, including CEOs and school systems. These events provide attendees with access to high-quality education on AI from their homes or offices.
- Free guides and online courses: We offer free guides and online courses that provide practical and actionable advice on AI and emerging technologies. These resources are available on our website, and we aim to make our online homepage a destination to find resources.
To achieve our mission of providing education on AI and emerging technologies to underrepresented groups in Atlanta, we partner with our community to increase our impact. We focus on three main pillars when considering partnerships:
- Local community organizations: We partner with organizations such as Atlanta Blockchain Center, Crypto Monday, and Umba Diama to expand our reach and provide more resources to our participants.
- Local governments and institutions: We collaborate with organizations such as Fulton County Arts and Culture, Georgia Tech, Emory University, Clark Atlanta, and Atlanta Public Schools to build and support emerging technology programs focused on public policy and education.
- Small businesses, brands, corporate sponsors: We partner with organizations such as Project Pi, Metaseed Labs, and MODA to secure corporate sponsorships and fund our programs and events, which allows us to offer even more resources to underrepresented groups in Atlanta.
Moving forward, we are committed to supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 (SDGs), while putting a spotlight on Atlanta’s contribution on the local level.

about the Team
At Wedge, our team is made up of passionate individuals who are committed to our mission of providing education on AI and emerging technologies. We have a leadership team and group of dedicated volunteers and interns who help us plan and execute our events and programs.

Jeremiah Long is our Executive Director and is responsible for creating and executing our programs. Long is a mixed kid that grew up poor in Section 8 housing with a single mom. Undaunted by his immutable background he became a multi-hyphenate technical founder and educator with over 20 years in computer science, TV/film production, journalism, and creative development. Michael is co-founder and CEO of Wedge. Michael has 20+ years of experience as a C-level executive and has been involved in technology companies since 2011. He embraces the change, challenges, and opportunities that new technology can provide.
Michael believes that it is important to take others along on this journey and to provide equal access so our communities can thrive.

We provide education and product development services to organizations seeking to expand internal education. We build custom solutions for SMB and communities.
